WSND News for 10/8/09

This week's WSND News program takes you behind the scenes of three student-led productions. Two, "Cargo" and "Scattered Voices," are being performed at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center through the New Playwrights Workshop. WSND talked to Director Anton Juan and Student Director Michael Lewis about what they think the two plays have to teach the Notre Dame community. The third, "Company," is a Steven Sondheim musical being put on by the Pasquerilla East Musical Company. Members of the cast spoke to WSND about what the play means to them and the effort it's taken to pull it off. Finally, Joseph Pearce, professor of literature and writer-in-residence at Ave Maria University, was kind enough to speak to WSND about his recent lecture on campus, "C.S. Lewis: Close to Catholic." Tune in tonight at 5 to catch these stories, only on the Sound of Notre Dame, 88.9 WSND-FM.
